# Board Leadership for Growth and Resilience: Guiding Principles for Climate and Nature Governance

World Economic Forum, in collaboration with Deloitte and the Chapter Zero Alliance, published "Board Leadership for Growth and Resilience: Guiding Principles for Climate and Nature Governance" (Jan 2026). The white paper argues that for today's boards, climate and nature represent some of the greatest opportunities for growth and renewal — redefining markets, driving technological innovation and shaping where investment flows — moving subjects that once sat outside the boardroom into the centre of business performance, resilience and value creation. The framework is built on three foundations and four guiding principles designed to anchor nature and climate in the boardroom and provide a path for boards to foster resilience against disruption and drive sustained impact.
