# Boards Need to Rethink How They Advise CEOs

HBR (31 Mar 2026) by David Garfield names the paradox of board advisory effectiveness: AlixPartners Disruption Index data shows 72% of CEOs find it increasingly difficult to set priorities amid disruptive forces, yet 87% say their boards have the right people and knowledge to help them.
