# MAS Singapore: Operational Risk and Third-Party Risk Management Guidelines

Bloomberg Professional Services March 2026 Global Regulatory Brief on Digital Finance covers MAS's Singapore announcement of paired Consultation Papers issued March 6, 2026 on updated Guidelines on Operational Risk Management and proposed Guidelines on Third-Party Risk Management. The Operational Risk Management Guidelines build on existing MAS expectations and incorporate Basel Committee guidance, addressing increasing digitalisation, third-party reliance and elevated cyber threats. The Third-Party Risk Management Guidelines will apply not only to FIs with outsourcing arrangements but to all FIs that rely on third-party services. Both consultations close April 20, 2026. Direct read-out for SEA mid-market FI boards.
