# McKinsey Global Institute Director on the Key Questions Every CEO Is Facing

Published May 12, 2026, a McKinsey senior partner and new MGI director outlines the most consequential questions CEOs must answer now, emphasizing that depth of strategic analysis — not speed of reaction — drives outsized value in an era of compounding uncertainty. The piece reinforces that CEOs who go deep on decision framing, rather than defaulting to consensus, consistently outperform peers. For SEA board-supported CEOs, this is a timely reminder to build decision-quality infrastructure rather than rely on instinct under geopolitical and AI-driven disruption.
