# The Secret to High-Performing Strategy Teams

Boston Consulting Group (Jul 15, 2025) "The Secret to High-Performing Strategy Teams" finds that most corporate strategy teams under-deliver and the top performers distinguish themselves by sticking with a singular, focused mandate and mastering cross-functional collaboration rather than chasing breadth. The piece pushes back on the assumption that more analysts or broader remit produces better strategy. For SEA mid-market boards whose CFO or strategy heads often run six unrelated tracks simultaneously, the article reframes strategy-team performance as a focus and collaboration problem rather than a headcount or budget one.
