# Why Leadership Has Become the Gulf's Real Competitive Edge

Gulf Business argues that decision quality in GCC organisations is increasingly a function of institutionalised leadership systems — decision cadences, reflection forums, and feedback loops — rather than individual charisma. The piece highlights that in GCC markets where transformation cycles move faster than budget years, leaders who anchor decisions in values and maintain strategic composure consistently outperform reactive peers. For SEA-focused boards, the parallel is direct: without repeatable decision rituals, even well-resourced scale-ups stall at execution.
