Board Diversity Report 2025

A census, not a survey, of the 481 listed companies in the VNX Allshare Index as at 30 April 2025, covering 2,677 board seats, with all data reviewed and standardised to an effective date of 30 September 2025, published 9 April 2026. Board performance evaluation with disclosed criteria and process stands at 0.4 per cent of companies, individual director evaluation at 0.4 per cent and committee evaluation at 0.6 per cent, while 94 per cent of companies rely exclusively on internal networks when nominating board members and only 8.9 per cent of board members and 10.8 per cent of company secretaries have received corporate governance training. Capability against the new Vietnam Corporate Governance Code of 4 February 2026 is 0.4 per cent with ESG expertise, 0.2 per cent with AI or IT backgrounds and 0.1 per cent with cybersecurity experience; the report is internally inconsistent on the Gen X share (53.8 per cent in text, 54.9 per cent in the data panel) and the panel figure should be cited.
