Boards and C-suite cite open communication, risk management, and scenario planning as critical to building organizational resilience
Deloitte Global press-room briefing (Sep 30, 2025) on the joint Deloitte Global Boardroom Program and Global CEO Program report draws on a June 2025 survey of 739 board members and C-suite executives across more than 50 countries with in-depth interviews. Headline data: 66% of board and C-suite respondents cite open, transparent communication between board and C-suite as the number-one leadership factor in resilience; 86% say their boards have increased activity to monitor risks and oversee growth strategy (39% significantly); 57% of board chairs are adding or increasing informal meetings with the CEO and 50% are holding more strategy-development and scenario-planning meetings. Useful evidence base for SEA mid-market chairs justifying tighter CEO communication cadences.
