Family Businesses in the Emirate of Dubai: A Guidebook

Published by the Dubai Centre for Family Businesses with the date established from the publisher's hosting path, setting out the three Dubai family office regimes side by side: DWTC requires a minimum of AED 500,000 in proven liquid assets and wholly lineal-descendant ownership while permitting control of up to 49 per cent by non-family members, DMCC requires 100 per cent family ownership and bars any external service, and the DIFC permits removal from the public register under Article 7.2.1 of the Family Arrangements Regulations and an office-space exemption under Article 7.3. On the charter, footnote 33 records that under Article 6.3 of the UAE Federal Family Business Law the articles of association prevail in any conflict, and the registration procedure marks the filing of the charter as optional at both the Dubai Business Licensing Corporation and Ministry of Economy stages.
