Deloitte (Oct 16, 2025) Fortune/Deloitte CEO Survey Fall 2025, the 16th edition of the series, surveys 69 CEOs across 19 industries (71% US-based) and finds renewed optimism: pessimism about the global economy dropped to 32% from 58% in spring while optimism doubled to 28% from 14%; optimism about company performance rose to 71% from 60%. 78% of CEOs expect tariffs to have fewer benefits than risks for the US economy; 80% are likely to implement cost-cutting measures over the next 12 months and 64% are likely to raise prices. AI is expected to most impact core processes and resource allocation, followed by talent strategy and long-term vision.
